LOUISE BOYER osteopath
Improving mobility and posture
Osteopaths are well versed in mobilising joints and tissues and use this to maintain a level of equilibrium and balance within the body.
For example, the lumbar spine is designed more for support but can often compensate and obtain injury if the thoracic spine, which is designed to be mobile, becomes restricted. In cases such as this the osteopath would spot this anomaly through thorough examination and would aim to strengthen the supporting tissues of the lumbar spine whilst mobilising the thoracic spine to restore proper function.
